Description
Composite of Hugh S. Campbell (studio portrait) and Arthur and Mary Irene (Kimball) Campbell. Campbell was born in Richland County, OH, and moved to Montana in 1877, according to the biographical sketch of Jim Annin. He "had places on Flaherty Flat, Butcher Creek and the East Rosebud" where he farmed. He was the last Indian agent when the Crow agency was south of Absarokee and helped move the agency from Stillwater County to Big Horn County. He married Mary November 4, 1896, in Billings, MT; the couple had one son, Arthur.
