Label in upper left corner of photo reads "23." Photo shows front gate of the mill, "Anaconda Copper Mining Co." in large letters in center of sign, with "Bonner Plant" in smaller letters on the left, and "Lumber Dept." in smaller letters on the right of the sign. Mill gate is closed; on it hangs a sign reading "Close this gate." Two cars are parked outside the gate. The front of one is visible and the rear of the other is visible. The side of the mountain is in the background, and mill buildings can be seen inside the gate. The buildings look similar to the photo of the mill gate from the 1920s ; the willows along the mill approach beyond gate are much bigger than in the 1920s photo. Photo caption reads: Judging from the automobiles in the photograph, the approximate date was 1936.
