The Scribe machine captures page images with two digital singe lens-reflex (DSLR) cameras, the Canon model 5D/12.8 mega-pixel camera and the Canon EF 100 mm f 2.8-macro lens. Newer versions, if deemed better by vendor, will be implemented. Color images in JPEG2000 format (300-500 PPI). Optical Character Recognition (OCR) in two XML formats ABBYY and DjVu.
