In 1932, Marjorie Frost, daughter of poet Robert and Elinor Frost, married Willard Fraser and the couple settled in Billings. She died in 1934 - See Arrange Rites for Mrs. Willard Fraser, Billings Gazette, May 4, 1934. They had a daughter, Robin. Willard E. Fraser (1907-1972) was the colorful Mayor of Billings for six terms. He ran and lost five times. He was Mayor from 1963-1969 and 1971-1972. Supported the Indian Caves, Art Museum, and many other cultural institutions in Billings. He died in office of a heart attack on September 21, 1972. After his death, the City established a Charter in 1977 which placed city power in the hands of a city administrator. The Willard Fraser papers are located at MSU Billings Special Collections. The Willard H. Fraser mayoral papers (1963-1969 & 1971-1972) contain the alphabetized file folders, letters, political campaigns, proclamations, memos, and his correspondence.
