Henry Chapple was born in 1862 in Ontario, Canada. He attended Trinity College in Canada. Henry Chapple helped open Chapple's Drug Store in Billings. St. Vincent Healthcare was founded in 1898 when two Sisters of Charity from Leavenworth, Kansas, traveled to Billings, at the request of Dr. Henry Chapple, then the city's physician and mayor. See History of Montana by Miller and Billings: Montana's Trailhead by Hart. His wife was Martha Murphy Chapple (born September 17, 1866 - died June 26, 1933). He died on January 10, 1900 and is buried at Mountview Cemetery.
