Possibly John Ross, the sheep man, who was a buyer for Swift and Company. He was from Scotland. He had been in Billings since 1891. John Ross was Manager of N.H. Morss Auctioneers. This John Ross died in 1938 - See Local Resident Taken by Death, Billings Gazette September 9, 1938. If the John Ross, sheep man, he had a brother James Ross, a rancher in the Blue creek area since 1894.
