Julie E. Jones was born May 21, 1854 in Oliver County, Indiana. Father was A.J. McNaught. Married Dudley Jones In Iowa In 1873. Arrived in Billings, Montana in 1886. She was the first president of the YWCA, which was founded in the basement of the Public Library in September, 1907. Their sixtieth wedding anniversary photo is in the Billings Gazette, December 31, 1933. She died in April, 1939 and is buried at Mountview Cemetery - See Heart Ailment Claims Early Local Resident, Billings Gazette, April 30, 1939, p.1. Children were Lilla Jones Hart & Winifred Jones Madson.
