Hans Peter Nelson married Georgiana Svennes in 1879. They had eight children. Moved to Billings area in 1882. Became the first deputy sheriff of the county. Later the couple moved to Reed Point and then to Roundup, where Mr. Nelson engaged in the real estate business. He died in 1920 in Roundup and was buried in Mountview cemetery in Billings - See Hans P. Nelson Funeral, Billings Gazette, October 3, 1920.
