Known as the ""Father"" of the Canyon Creek Irrigation canal - See Canyon Creek Ditch Company, Billings Gazette, April 19, 1936, p.15. Ditch company was organized in July, 1884. Lived 4 miles east of Billings (as of 1936). President of Pioneers of Eastern Montana as of 1936. Died in November, 1943 - See GL Danford, Pioneer Yellowstone County Rancher, Billings Gazette, November 18, 1943, p. 1. Buried at Mountview Cemetery. Sister Margaret Ann Guy Story died in 1940 - See Stroke Fatal to Pioneer, Billings Gazette, March 31, 1940, p.3.
