Born February 24, 1856, Ruth Ann Baker married George L. Danford in Ohio in 1877. Moved to Montana in 1880. Homesteaded east of Billings. See Local Pioneer Woman Dies, Billings Gazette, February 27, 1939. Two sons, Charles C. Danford of Billings, and Sam Danford of Sheridan, Wyoming, and four daughters, Ida Danford, Mrs Ed Westover, Mrs Carl Crosser, and Mrs. Ed Marsh (as of 1936). See Trails & Tales South of the Yellowstone. Buried at Mountview Cemetery.
